    In a Ranger’s Arms is a sweet, small town temporary romance between a sexy cowboy landlord with such a big heart and his spritely tenant trying taking on a challenge in order to achieve what has always been her dream back in her home state. This cowboy romance is all about facing demons of the past and overcoming them so that they can’t stop potential happiness in the future; it’s the perfect book to read for something relatively light-hearted but with a good storyline that will definitely leave you with a smile on your face. Stone and Jovy have such a hot attraction to each other that you know it is only a matter of time before they steam up the your pages! There was a great chemistry between the two characters, with both characters strong and determined to make their own way in life, doing what is right by others especially for Stone, but have scars and promises from their younger years that may stop these two opposites, who couldn’t be more perfect and complimentary together, from seeing past their present temporary arrangement for fear of implications. I loved the strength in character of Jovy, a spritely woman who doesn’t give up easily (unless she is in a stand-off with a love-crazed cow!). The relationship that builds up between Stone and Jovy is steadily paced over the month Jovy is in town and allowed you as a reader to truly feel their connection strengthening and why their feelings develop so quickly, something clearly shown through the use of dual points of views. While the plot of the book was a little bit predictable, it was well written and paced with a good flow and easy to read. The book is mostly a light hearted read with a few slightly angsty moments between two people who have gone through difficult times in the past and are determined to succeed in achieving their dreams, albeit in completely different areas and appearing on paper to be complete opposites. At times, this book will tug at your heart strings throughout, a clear indicator of the author’s ability to develop believable characters with real emotions where the challenges that are faced aren’t easy to deal with but were handled with sensitivity, delicacy and fittingly at times, humour. It’s an enjoyable kind of book that will put a smile on your face after the HEA ending that tied up Stone and Jovy’s story. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed In a Ranger’s Arms and would definitely recommend this book. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley.
