  • Blade and I Didn't Work Out

    I was utterly infatuated with the first book in the series, The Queen's Blade. The protagonist, Blade was engrossing, multi-layered and mysterious. The world, rich, complex and deep. Frankly, my husband suspected an affair, so absorbed was I. A third of the way through this sequel however, Blade and I had run our course. By the time I had abandoned this book, the mysterious Blade had become rather hollow and predictable. He makes too many mistakes and talks way too much for an assassin. Plus, what kind of an assassin tap dances?

    I'm addicted. Love the series and can't put them down. Well written and exciting. Well worth the money. I love thriller and fantasy and this for fills everything.

    I read the first book which I thoroughly enjoyed and just had to buy the second, "sacrifice" as the story was compelling. Just got to the end of it though and now must buy the next installment to finish a key part of this phase of the story. Feel mightily annoyed by that especially when I see there are a further 2 books and 2 "prequels" as well. It's a shame that such a good story has been diminished in my eyes by this strategy so I shall be moving on to pastures new even though I would love to know the outcome! Plenty more fish in the sea though!

    Not as good as the first one. The story does not move at all with pages upon pages about assasins dance which adds nothing to the book.
