About the author.
The author, Tamara Bris, has been through nearly a lifetime of abuse in various forms. The author struggled with leaving a fifteen year emotionally abusive relationship and then wondered why she felt such a close bond and connection with her abuser. After contact with other victims, Tamara found that many victims form strong love and bonding attachments to the people who abuse them. Tamara, who has a degree in criminology and sociology, used her skills as a researcher and discovered "trauma bonding," a type of love addiction which bonds victims to their abuser.
Having the knowledge that she was suffering “trauma bonding” helped Tamara and other women recover from their abuse addiction to abuse. Tamara’s story and other stories are shared in this book.
